- Has consulted for a Biotech Company in the Research & Development group, in a project dealing with immunoglobulins isolation for the prevention of auto-immune diseases in premature babies.

 

- Teaching at National University in San Diego for a masters in Public Health Program. 

- Has served as a Board Member of the Christie's place, a non-profit organization that helps and advocates for the well-being of women affected by HIV (http://www.christiesplace.org)

- Has launched an educational program to raise awareness on AIDS/HIV prevention called: 'Aids-Free Journey: Awareness & Action!'; It was presented at the International AIDS Society (IAS) Conference in Vienna, July 18-20, 1010; This project creates a link among research, education and creative programs within the HIV/AIDS field.

 

 

WITHIN THE ART & HOLISTIC FIELDS 

 

- Exploring opportunities and seeking collaborations to use Liberal Arts specially multimedia platforms to raise AIDS awareness on prevention and treatment. 

- Taking film classes at UCLA as part of certificate programs in cinematography and direction in order to produce educational videos to raise awareness in the areas of public health, community services and women/girls education.

 

- For over a decade I have expanded my knowledge on integrative healing approaches and their applications in health care: by Deepening studies on Integral Shamanism, Kryia Yoga (meditation), Hatha Yoga, EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), Law of Attraction Coaching (by Michael Losier) and seeking a better understanding of cognitive thinking and its application as per different scholars and teachers (from Jung cognitive processes to Louise Hay affirmations) 

 

- In June/10, I became a White belt graduate in NIA - A dynamic blend of dance, martial arts and healing arts.

- Working on literary translations (English to Portuguese); I am also working on video translations for the TED website (www.ted.com) and book reviews. 

I am currently translating (from English to Portuguese) the Book: Godseekers by Ingrid Henzler to be published soon in the US (Original Italian Edition: Cercatori di Dio)
